Testimonials
September 2025, my husband got us both a Rotterdam Marathon ticket. I was four months postpartum. A quick calculation: I had seven months left to get ready for a PB. It was going to be my third marathon, and I wanted to be stronger and faster than before. But more importantly, I wanted to enjoy this comeback after my postpartum journey, build strength and pace without injuries. I knew I had to contact Lennart to coach me in this goal.
Lennart and I agreed on three training sessions per week, all perfectly synced onto FinalSurge and my Garmin. He understood my priorities, and he knew when to push or when to coach.
For me, it was the best setup. Balancing two young kids, life, and work. The training schedule forced me, or rather allowed me, to take time for myself – something easily overlooked in this stage of life.
We started mid-January; we had three months to get from a steady 10K run to a strong-paced marathon distance. Each session contributed to this goal; I loved the quality sessions. I amazed myself by being able to deliver each significantly longer run each time.
I believe our flow of persistence and performance resulted in the solid delivery of a 3:26 Rotterdam Marathon. Thank you, coach! You got the best out of me this year. I am excited to know what’s next for us.

After two attempts to run a sub-3-hour marathon (Berlin 2022: 3:09 and Amsterdam 2023: 3:04), I realized I could use some help to finally achieve my goal.
That’s when I turned to Lennart for coaching, and it turned out to be the best decision I could have made.
Lennart created a 20-week training plan tailored specifically to me, with five running sessions per week. What I appreciated the most was the dynamic approach: Instead of rigidly sticking to a preset schedule, Lennart adjusted the plan every 2-3 weeks based on my progress. This way, we never looked too far ahead, and every adjustment was made to optimize my performance.
Compared to training with a generic running app, this personalized approach made a huge difference. The workouts were often challenging but never felt overwhelming. They were perfectly balanced, keeping me motivated and allowing me to see noticeable improvements over time.
The personal connection with Lennart made the experience even better. He is passionate, genuinely interested, and really knows his stuff. His enthusiasm is contagious, and his guidance is always thoughtful and supportive. I would highly recommend his coaching to anyone looking to push their running limits. He will definitely help you get better while always keeping your well-being in mind – and he’ll do it with a smile.
The initial goal was to break the 3-hour barrier. But as the training progressed, we realized there was more potential. Eventually, I ran the Valencia Marathon in 2:50:07 – a result I never thought I’d be capable of. And who knows, maybe there’s still room for improvement in Amsterdam this year. One thing’s for sure: I’ll be asking Lennart for help again, and I can’t wait to get started!

I started running with Lennart when we met as colleagues fresh out of university. I had always been a great sports enthusiast but had never realized the impact science-based training could have on improving performance.
Until then, I believed in the old adage ‘harder is better’. The contrary was true.
Although I was skeptical of Lennart’s approach, which suggested easing the pace on many of my runs, it was impossible to resist his drive and enthusiasm about running and getting faster. It didn’t take long until I noticed that the weekly interval and threshold sessions he suggested made me fly. Importantly, these sessions made training more diverse and FUN.
My first marathon with Lennart’s training shaved 35 minutes of my PB. Over the years I have further developed and now become a consistent ‘sub-3’ runner, achieving my fastest time—running shoulder to shoulder with Lennart—of 2h48. Apart from the athletic improvement I have noticed a spillover effect in work and private life. I believe there is great value in doing hard things. You gain energy and confidence, becoming more focused and self-directed.
Lastly, I have had many coaches in my life, but Lennart easily ranks among the best. He effortlessly combines his enthusiasm and drive with patience and understanding. He knows how to push me to my limits, but he also knows when to back off. The guy has a gift.

5/5 Stars and highly recommend Lennart and his Moonshot Run Club (MRC) program.
They embody the 3P’s for me:
Professional: Lennart uses a fully tailored, athlete specific, data driven (scientific) approach to his training program. This empowers the athlete knowing it is the best and most personal program designed specifically for the individual. It provided the specific training adaptations (stimulus) I needed to progress and make massive gains both physiologically (faster splits) but more importantly the joy in running (I was always super excited and pumped for the next session).
Personal: Designing a program is step one yet most important and the real difference vs other coaches and programs was Lennart’s coaching style. He is empathetic, great at listening and understanding and always seeks the best physical and mental well-being for his athletes. This makes it fun and highly motivating to follow tough training sessions and a major marathon (8-12 weeks) build up. Lennart provides CMOTs (coaching moments of truth); from his wealth of experience and knowledge he knows when to step in or when to step back. This makes the difference vs. other coaches and programs.
Personal Records: Proof is in the pudding. I have competed in two Ironman World Championships, 15+ road marathons and multiple ultra trails, yet I have never made so much gains as I have done with Lennart and MRC. Going from a 2:55 marathon to a 2:45 in less than 8 weeks prep. I had the race of my life; Lennart’s racing strategy, taper week guidance and final pep talk before race day made me believe, made me fly and made me race with a smile all the way to the finish line.
If you are a beginner to a seasoned endurance athlete Lennart and MRC is the place to be. Most importantly you will fall in love with running, enjoying the (training) journey and smashing your goals/PR. Let’s GO!
